Here’s your new MGB
This 1980 MGB was one of the last few built, as production ceased in October of that year. This excellent example was first registered in 1981, in Toronto. A sharp looking car, it never fails to attract attention. The twin SU-carbed engine runs strong and smooth when warmed up, the drive system works well, the Radial TA tires show good tread and the interior and trunk are fully carpeted. Could use new seat covers, but shows well with the existing originals. A new radio (2015) with media inputs (SD card, USB and input jack) is installed. High-end Blaupunkt speakers included, but not installed. The fuse panel has been replaced (2016) with modern fuses and relays to reduce load on switches, improving reliability. Similarly, relays for the headlights and horn save the switch points while increasing light output. An extra powered relay is installed, ready for driving or fog lights. New gas struts allow the hood to open fully for easier access. Gas struts on the trunk lid are much better than the original prop device. Both short and full- length tonneau covers are included. The body is rust free (rust-proofed since new) and the relatively new (2013) paint job was well done. The car is never winter driven and is always stored inside. Tires, brake pads, and top  were renewed in 2013 and the engine received a major tuneup. Mechanical work was done by Trevor White, British Sports Car Centre in Gormley, ON. A roadster makes an excellent parade vehicle. This low-mileage MGB is quick and reliable. It cleans up well for public appearances. 3/4 front show timeless lines. This shows the balance added by the luggage rack. Gas struts allow better engine access and prevent damage to the hood from the stick strut. Gas struts open wider and prevent bends to the trunk lid. Twin carbs and no air pump; bigger radiator. The MGB dashboard; classic! New heater valve and alternator installed. New relays on the horn and lights improve efficiency and reliability. Short tonneau cover makes a neat package. Modern player suit MG interior. Blaupunkt super speakers Owner's Manual and Shop Manual in one book with my notes. Very comfortable wheel, with hands in 8 and 4 positions. New relays on the horn and lights improve efficiency and reliability. Short tonneau cover makes a neat package.
